Certifications and standards

Erciyas Rail's management systems and production are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22163 (IRIS), EN 15085-2 (railway welding) and EN 14025 (tank shells under RID), and the company holds Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) certification. Its wagons are designed to TSI WAG, TSI NOI, RID, UIC and EN requirements, listed per model below.

ISO 22163 · Railway Quality · IRISRailway-specific quality management system and the basis of IRIS Certification. It replaced ISO/TS 22163:2017 in 2023.

Frequently asked questions

Are Erciyas Rail wagons TSI approved?

Yes. Erciyas Rail built its first TSI-approved complete freight wagon, a Zacens, in 2017 and started producing TSI-approved Y25 bogies in 2019. Approval is granted per wagon type; the standards each model is designed to are listed in the table above.

Does Erciyas Rail hold ECM certification?

Yes. ECM (Entity in Charge of Maintenance) certification underpins the maintenance, repair and overhaul service offered for fleets in service.

Which standards cover the welding?

Railway vehicle welding is certified to EN 15085-2, and pressure tank shells for dangerous goods to EN 14025.
